The controversial interview by the Sunday Leader with the retired Chief of Defense Staff, General (Rtd) Sarath Fonseka has caused political turbulence within Sri Lanka and the UN and the US seems to be very keen on this article as well.
Mr. Fonseka denied it saying the journalist has misinterpreted his response.
Yesterday, JVP said the interviewer only asked about his issue after the interview, and it was misinterpreted. They said they have audio tape of the interview.
Then they should present this tape to the public with no hesitation. Otherwise, the future of our war heroes is in danger. If they present this tape to the relevant authorities, then they can clarify the issue easily with the UN.
Therefore we would like to request the JVP to publish this audio.

today I saw something in youtube. it was in an LTTE supporter's channel. this video said that on the aftermath of the war, shops of tamils in badulla were ransacked. this can't be true. non of us have ever heard. but such a rumour was spreading in Canada. that shops in COLOMBO were being destroyed! it didnt happen right? but that's why they burned the Toronto Buddhist vihara. and now these people are voting for eelam.
we must stop this nonsense!

True independance! True freedom
Within the time of my last post and this, many things have happened. Some sad and most unbelievably wholesome and awesome. :)
Therefore I dedicate this post to all the heroes who dedicated their lives and some, who died for the purpose of granting the rest of Sri Lankans with freedom and a future.
May you attain Nibbana, the supreme bliss.

Protection-මහා මංගල සූත්රය
Avoiding, abstaining from evil;
refraining from intoxicants,
being heedful of the qualities of the mind:
This is the highest protection.
Respect, humility,
contentment, gratitude,
hearing the Dhamma on timely occasions:
This is the highest protection.
Patience, compliance,
seeing contemplatives,
discussing the Dhamma on timely occasions:
This is the highest protection.
Austerity, celibacy,
seeing the Noble Truths,
realizing Unbinding:
This is the highest protection.
A mind that, when touched
by the ways of the world,
is unshaken, sorrowless, dustless, at rest:
This is the highest protection.
Everywhere undefeated
when acting in this way,
people go everywhere in well-being:
This is their highest protection.

independence - නිදහස

"This 61st anniversary of independence has given us the opportunity to realize the pride and dignity of our freedom. The time is now ready for the battle to raise Sri Lanka to the dignity of a country that is energetic, powerful, virtuous and wise. Let us as patriotic Sri Lankans achieve success in that battle too, without delay. Let us dedicate ourselves to bequeath this true freedom to our country."-His Excellency President Mahinda Rajapaksa

A thought
i used 2 watch discovery channel.. and wonder....
sm animals. soon after they r born, they can walk. soon they learn 2 do everything their parents can. if they r lucky enough 2 servive da jungle, they grow up. then they produce offspring. then eventually, they get old and helpless...then.. they die..
bt their children grow. only 2 face da same fate..
animals such as elephants live long. turtles can live over 100 years. sm fies only live 1 day..
how r humans any different? of cause v can choose what v want 2 do with our lives.. bt eventually, it's da same thing all over again..
again.. it's just a thought...
